Each year, the UI Women's Center honors a gender justice activist who embodies the spirit of equality and empowerment in fighting to end violence against women. One UI student, one UI staff or faculty member, and one local community member is selected each year to receive the award. Jeffrey A. Dodge, Associate Dean for Students & Administration and Associate Clinical Professor of Law, is the 2017 recipient of the UI Faculty/Staff award. He is being recognized for his roles as a Title IX deputy coordinator and investigator, member of the Women's Center's Advocacy Council, co-chair of a President's Diversity Council committee, member of Ubuntu, and other gender equality contributions on campus and in the community. He will receive the award at the Saturday, February 11th showing of the Vagina Monologues.
