Professor Bridy was an invited speaker last week at the Boston University Law Review Symposium on Notice and Notice Failure in IP.  The paper she presented, Three Notice Failures in Copyright Law, will be published in Volume 96 of the BU Law Review along with other papers from the symposium.  The symposium convened academics, practicing lawyers from the IP and technology industries, and federal judges to discuss issues related to notice (and the lack thereof) in the definition, enforcement, licensing/transfer, and adjudication of intellectual property rights. Professor Bridy's presentation focused on notice failures relating to intermediary liability and anti-piracy/anti-counterfeiting campaigns in the digital environment. Her respondent was Michael Fricklas, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Viacom, Inc.
