Professor Annemarie Bridy was an invited panelist on April 4 at a two-day symposium on "The Next Great Copyright Act," sponsored by the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology and the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.  The symposium, which was attended by an audience of over 300, brought together scholars, technologists, copyright industry representatives, and artists' representatives to discuss the comprehensive review of the copyright system now underway in Congress. Professor Bridy's presentation was on the historically expanding scope of criminal infringement liability and the need to re-examine the assumptions underlying that expansion.
