Assistant Clinical Professor of Law Kristina Running has been selected to serve as a Visiting Professor in Florianopolis, Brazil through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC). In Summer 2018, Professor Running will teach a course on human rights in Latin America, focusing on the history and current state of human rights protection in Brazil. The class will also evaluate the role that international human rights law has played in the evolution of human rights throughout the region. The mission of USAC is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, experiences, and attitudes that are necessary to prepare them for the global society of the 21st century. Through the USAC Visiting Professorship program, faculty from the University of Idaho have the opportunity to support the USAC mission and grow UI's international presence by teaching abroad.
