Hometown: Ontario, Oregon
College/Undergraduate Institution: Eastern Oregon University, BS in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics
Law School Interests: Criminal and family law interest with the LADR emphasis. I have had an externship as a federal clerk for Chief Judge B. Lynn Winmill. I am the current Treasurer for the Student Bar Association. I have also participated in the mediation and negotiation competitions, and hope to be on a trial team.
Prior to law school I was an adjunct math instructor at Treasure Valley Community College. That position led to a full time opportunity to teach GED courses to inmates at Snake River Correctional Institute in Ontario, OR. Although I enjoyed teaching, I chose to pursue my legal education instead. I hope to be able to practice criminal law after I graduate, however I think I would be happy working in many different areas of the law. I know the education and mentoring I am receiving while at U of I College of Law will prepare me for any path I choose.
